New York radio vet Eddie Trunk has reported that KISS will perform at a fashion event for plus size women's clothing company Lane Bryant on February 5th. The performance will be held while models show off the new Lane Bryant line. The event is PRIVATE and will NOT be open to the public. The band will perform live, not lip-synched, but it is not know for sure who will be in the lineup. Obviously Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley will play, but no word yet as to whether Eric Singer will fill in for Peter Criss in cat-man makeup or not.
Although Trunk has reported though that guitarist Ace Frehely will definitely NOT be playing (with former Black ‘N Blue guitarist Tommy Thayer as the rumored fill-in for Ace in space-man makeup), Simmons states on www.kissonline.com that Ace has every intention of being there. He also recently commented on www.genesimmons.com that "Ace is going to be joing us for the shindig. Ace and I spoke a few weeks ago. I called him to make sure he knew I loved him when he's straight and that I wanted to send him my book. Most importantly, I wanted him AND YOU to know that KISS is a much more exciting band with Ace than without Ace...and that I wouldn't have it any other way."
The event will be streamed on Lane Bryant's website the next day. More details soon.
