Sweden’s BULLET, masters of head-down hard rock, have unleashed their sixth album, Dust To Gold. If you’ve never heard them, BULLET takes the best of ACCEPT, AC/DC and THIN LIZZY and throws them in a blender, and the result is some of the catchiest, boogie-filled jams that side of the Atlantic.

The band consists of vocalist Hell Hofer, guitarists Alexander Lyrbo and Hampus Klang, new bassist Gustav Hector, and drummer Gustav Hjortsjö. Lyrbo and Klang lay down some of the catchiest riffs around, while Hofer’s guttural growls and high squeals add tons of character to these songs. Hjortsjö’s drumming and Hector’s bass work are a perfect fit for these songs as well.

The songs on Dust To Gold are mainly about freedom and adventure. Songs like “Speed And Attack”, “Rogue Soldier”, “Fuel The Fire” and the first single “Ain’t Enough” (see the video on KNAC.COM HERE) are truly filled with the spirit of hard rock and having a good time. I enjoy the songs “Highway Love”, “Wildfire” and the epic title track as well. The heaviest song here is “Hollow Grounds”, which raises the bar a little with its speedy tempo and aggressive attack. Rock and metal fans from all walks of life will find something that catches their ear on Dust To Gold. The songs are mostly in the three to four minute range; quick punches of hard rock excellence that will have you going back for more.

BULLET says they spent more time writing this album than they have previous material. They wanted “an album where every song is a great one, totally without fillers.” They also recorded on analog tape, to give the album a warmer sound. The extra effort has paid off, as this album sounds fantastic and will leave fans trying to decide which song is their favorite. (Mine has changed several times while listening to it). Dust To Gold features 12 instantly classic hard rock tracks, clocking in around 40 minutes.

The album cover features the band standing on their very own tour bus, affectionately known as the “Bullet Bus,” a 1964 Volvo with many miles on it. Dust To Gold is now available in digipak format with a poster, and double gold LP.
