As previously reported, King Diamond management warned that the website - www.myspace.com/kingdiamond - has absolutely nothing to do with King Diamond, BAND OR PERSON. "It's a fraud and merely an impostor pretending to be King Diamond." Now, though KNAC.COM has been unable to confirm with King Diamond's management, apparently the site www.myspace.com/kingdiamond IS official. A statement at the site reads as follows: "This is the only official King Diamond MySpace website. Any other you might see, including Mercyful Fate sites, are unofficial or maybe even impostors. Please also check out our official King Diamond fanclub at www.covenworldwide.org."
According to Thehawaiichannel.com, angry rock fans are suing Aerosmith for canceling its concert on Maui last month. The lawsuit said the band's late cancellation was unnecessary and caused many fans to lose money they spent on plane tickets, car rentals and hotels. The lawsuit is on behalf of all ticket holders. Under the state's consumer law, plaintiffs could be eligible for triple their losses in damages and up to $5,000 if over the age of 62. According to the official Annihilator website, the band's latest album, Metal, will finally be released in North America on January 15th, 2008. More details regarding the release will be issued soon. Annihilator are currently on the road in Europe supporting Iced Earth.
Children Of Bodom bassist Henkka T. Blacksmith has checked in with the following studio update: "So now we are ready to start recording guitars. We've been looking for sounds with different kinds of thingies...And rhythm guitar sound is now good to go. Like you can see on Alexi's face probably. Also Roope's guitar clinic was held this time in the breakfast room." Henkka
The Top 100 Canadian Albums is a new coffee table book written and edited by New Brunswick music writer Bob Mersereau. The votes were cast by nearly 600 jurors from across Canada. Although Neil Young's Harvest tops the list, heavier acts include Rush, Voivod, April Wine and a handful of other hard rock notables:

Horror High, LLC has announced the US release date for Wednesday 13's Weirdo-A-Go-Go as February 5th, 2008. This will be Horror High, LLC's first release distributed by Caroline/EMI since their exclusive distro deal was signed.
Twisted Sister and former Anthrax singer Joey Belladonna have scheduled a live date in New York City, NY on December 21st at The Filmore New York/Irving Plaza. Tickets are $42.50 advance/$45 day-of-show. Baptized By Fire is also on the bill. Twisted Sister's A Twisted Christmas Live DVD is out on now via Razor & Tie.
