On April 27, 2011, nine U.S. Airmen lost their lives in an attack on the Kabul International Airport. Major Henry Cecil with the United States Air Force, who befriended LILLIAN AXE guitarist Steve Blaze a couple of years ago while serving in Afghanistan and knew several of the airmen that died, along with Steve Blaze himself and custom guitar maker John Guilford, coordinated an effort to have a custom, one-of-a-kind guitar built exclusively for Blaze's use on the band's upcoming tour. At the tour's end the guitar will be raffled off, with all of the proceeds being distributed to the families of the nine airmen who were killed in the attack.
You can read the incredible, touching story in its entirety and get a glimpse of this awesome guitar on the official Air Force website here.
