Bass player Rudy Sarzo's book, Off The Rails is finally on sale. The book was due out last year, but at the last minute was pulled due to legal implications from the Osbourne's. According to a posting by Sarzo, "The Osbourne's disapproval of the book has not influenced me to make a single change from the original manuscript" said Sarzo. But the title and the book cover have clearly changed. The original title was Off The Rails, My Adventures In The Land Of Ozz, and featured a picture of Sarzo holding a bass guitar. Now the book is simply called Off The Rails, and features a live shot of Sarzo with an Ozzy Osbourne shirt on.

Former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted has been forced to pull out of TV supergroup Rock Star Supernova two months before their first show after suffering a major shoulder injury.
Newsted reportedly tore his left bicep and rotator cuff while trying to catch a bass that had fallen off an amplifier. A spokesman claims Newsted requires surgery and will not be able to return to the stage for nine months. Rock Star Supernova, founded by Tommy Lee, Gilby Clarke and featuring reality TV show winner Lukas Rossi on vocals, hope to continue with album release plans and a New Year's Eve concert in Las Vegas, Nevada without Newsted. Lee admits the group will replace the bass player temporarily, but Newsted will always be welcomed back. He says, "Jason was always the right guy for this band and we'll miss having him with us as we kick off our album and tour, but we know he'll be back as soon as he can pick up and play."
