Diecast are inviting all of their fans to attend the shooting for their video “Medieval” in their hometown of Boston on Friday, September 24th. If you would like to be a part of the video, call (212) 252-2372 and leave your full name and phone number. Someone will get back to you shortly thereafter with all of the details. The track comes off of the band's highly anticipated new album, Tearing Down Your Blue Skies, set for an October 19th release through Century Media.

American Head Charge will still play their scheduled Minneapolis, MN gig at 1st Ave. on October 30th, despite their tour with Motorhead being cancelled due to Lemmy’s injury. More tour dates to be announced soon. AHC’s new CD, The Feeding, will be available in November.

Lacuna Coil has had an extremely successful 2004 as they emerged as this year's Ozzfest breakthrough artist and watched their latest album, Comalies, break the 150,000 SoundScan mark in the U.S. The group consistently outsold every Ozzfest band (minus Slipknot) each week with the oldest release of any second stage act. Even mainstage acts Black Label Society, Superjoint Ritual and Dimmu Borgir weekly album sales combined were surpassed by Lacuna Coil's weekly sales alone. All of this coupled with the commercial radio support of their latest single "Swamped" helped the album even crack the coveted Billboard Top 200 chart at #178. Comalies continues to SoundScan a steady 5,000 units per week.

Cult of Luna’s next CD, Salvation, is due out in the US on October 19th through Earache Records. The band will embark on a headlining tour of the UK in October.

King’s X have a ton up tour dates coming up at the end of September, going through November. Check out KingsXonline.com for all that information.

Lillian Axe have announced new vocalist Derrick LeFevre to fill in where Ron Taylor has left a void this past June. The band hopes to have a new album out at the end of the year, right now tentatively titled “Waters Rising,” with a full-blown tour in 2005 to follow.

Machine Head and God Forbid have a massive onslaught of tour dates in Europe this fall/winter. Be sure to check out MachineHead1.com for the full itinerary.

Ozzy Osbourne was honored with the “Editor's Special Award” at the annual GQ “Men of the Year” awards, which was held Tuesday, September 7th at the Royal Opera House in central London. If you planned on attending the rare US In Flames appearance in Hollywood, CA on September 26th at the Roxy, but haven’t gotten your ticket yet: you’re fucked. It’s sold out! You’ll have to jet over to CBGB’s in NYC, NY on September 29th to catch the only other US show…

Dave Mustaine will spend an hour with Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson to discuss Megadeth’s new CD, The System Has Failed, on Saturday, September 11th on BBC 6 Music at 23:00 GMT.

In Iron Maiden news, there will be a new DVD coming this fall that will relate to the band’s “early days.” Details have yet to be revealed.

Six Feet Under will release Graveyard Classics 2, which is a cover album of AC/DC’s Back in Black in it’s entirety. It will become available on October 19th.

According to bassist Nikki Sixx, he and vocalist Vince Neil have been busy in Las Vegas penning new tunes. Sixx states: “He’s singing on some demos. He sounds amazing, looks amazing as well. We’re loving the new tunes and having a blast. No official plans for these songs at this point, but it all starts with the music, so time will tell.” The members of Motley Crue have been in talks of a “farewell/ reunion” tour in 2005.

For immediate release: Music Video Distributors and CBGB are pleased to announce the home viewing release of Dead Boys - Live at CBGB 1977 for North American distribution on DVD, available on Novermber 16th. The 1977 performance from New York's legendary CBGB proves why the Dead Boys were the epitome of snotty punk rock. They took the level of violence, anarchy, and nastiness of the genre to extreme new levels. Characterized by Stiv Bator's audience provoking on-stage antics, along with the band's aggressive power chord punch, the Dead Boys have earned their title as one of the greatest and most influential punk bands in history. This is director Rod Swenson's three-camera color shoot featuring the lineup of Stiv Bators, Cheetah Chrome, Jimmy Zero, Johnny Blitz and Jeff Magnum.

Ozzfest cancels last show in West Palm Beach, Florida on Saturday, September 4th due to category 5 Hurricane Frances hitting the state of Florida on Friday Sept 3rd! Andy Williams, guitarist of Every Time I Die is very disappointed: “I am bummed out, everyone is rushing out of Florida, and we are not able to say our goodbyes to the bands we shared the heaviest stage all summer long with. To the fans, I am sorry but, we will be back on the Dillinger Escape Plan tour and we will play an extra long set for our fans in Florida.” The venue is handling refunds as follows: This Saturday's Ozzfest at Sound Advice Amphitheatre has been CANCELLED! Refunds will be available at your original place of purchase. Tickets purchased with a credit card online or by phone through Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded. Velvet Revolver vocalist Scott Weiland comments on the song and video for “Fall To Pieces” from their debut album Contraband: “If there was a turning point for me over the last year and a half it was the day ‘Fall To Pieces’ was written. The night before, I had just gotten arrested. It wasn't the first time obviously, but to the point of which I had sunk in my soul had seemed as if there was a bottomless oblivion that I would never be able to crawl out of. I had lost my wife and children recently, my old band STP had fallen apart, and now the spectre of losing my freedom loomed over me like dark heavy wet blankets. The only thing positive in my life was the new band Velvet Revolver. New blood. New start. The song symbolizes both. It really is the cornerstone of this record for me; if it wouldn’t have happened, the record wouldn't have happened. The only way to be real about the subject matter of the song was to tell the truth on film. It wasn't hard to sell this to the band, they lived it with me. I felt Kevin Kerslake would be the only director that could possibly get me to the point of reliving some of those narcotic nightmares and re-drudging some of the pain out of the old wounds that have healed from Mary's and my 12-year relationship. In short, it was the most difficult video I've ever done from a fear perspective, yet at times with beautiful, sweet memories that are chronicled on paper and in the heart and mind. All in all it was somethin' else! ‘She's still my little Rock-n-Roll.’”

Slayer and Slipknot will join touring forces post-Ozzfest in Europe. Check out Pollstar.com for the list of dates. Also, Slayer will headline this year’s Jagermeister Music Tour this fall, which will also include Killswitch Engage and Mastodon. Dates have yet to be announced.

After the Nonpoint/ Skindred tour, Dry Kill Logic and Motograter will be heading out on a 3 week co-headlining tour in October. It will be presented by Jagermeister and dubbed 'The New Level of Aggression Tour 2004.' Dates, cities and venues are expected shortly.
