Blabbermouth.net reports:
Stratovarius frontman Timo Kotipelto has commenced the vocal-tracking process for the group's brand new CD, entitled Elements Part I.
"I have to say that it's good to be behind the microphone again," Timo wrote on his official web site. "The last months I've been mostly giving interviews for my solo album and not singing that much. [Guitarist] Timo [Tolkki] and I tested 6 different kinds of professional studio microphones for my voice and I do believe we found the best one! The vocal sound is better than ever! (And I'm not talking about my voice but the sound that the mike delivers for the hard drive!)"
As previously reported, Elements Part I is set for a January 2003 release through Nuclear Blast Records. Described as "faster, heavier and more symphonic than ever before," Elements Part I will feature a full-size symphony orchestra and choir conducted by Riku Niemi. The cover artwork for the CD will, once again, be done by Derek Riggs (i.e. Iron Maiden).
