AXEL RUDI PELL COMES OUT OF THE SHADOW ZONE
WITH NEW RELEASE
German guitar hero Axel Rudi Pell has released his thirteenth solo album, Shadow Zone, on SPV.
Over the years, Pell has developed a fluid, melodic style, avoiding trends and staying true to his own sound. Shadow Zone is without exception, delivering classic Axel Rudi Pell songs.
A self-taught guitarist, Pell founded the German band Steeler in 1981. He remained with the band until 1989 when he released his first solo outing, Wild Obsession. Since then, he has released Nasty Reputation (1991), Eternal Prisoner (1992), The Ballads (1993), Between the Walls (1994), Made in Germany (1995), Black Moon Pyramid (1996), Magic (1997), Oceans of Time (1998), The Ballads II (1999), Masquerade Ball (2000), and The Wizards Chosen Few (2000), and has become known as one of the most renowned and charismatic German rock guitarists.
The present lineup of Pell’s band features singer Johnny Gioeli of the band Hardline, drummer Mike Terrana, bassist Volker Krawczak, and keyboardist Ferdy Doernberg.
