The DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN ANNOUNCE NEW YEAR'S EVE GIG IN SAN FRANCISCO; MIKE PATTON TO GUEST WITH BAND
Relapse Records recording artists The Dillinger Escape Plan have announced a special New Year's Eve performance at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, California.
The band's appearance will coincide with a festival showcasing artists on the Ipecac recording label, with the band invited to attend by former Faith No More and current Fantomas / Tomahawk frontman Mike Patton, who will guest with the Dillingers during a small portion of the band's set. Other artists scheduled to appear include Maldoror (a collaboration between Patton and Merzbow mastermind Masami Akita), Mondo Generator (featuring Nick Oliveri of Queens Of The Stone Age), Melvins, Isis, Captured By Robots, Dälek, and Pink Anvil (featuring Paul Barker from Ministry).
The Dillinger Escape Plan (Greg Puciato - vocals, Ben Weinman - guitar, Brian Benoit - guitar, Chris Pennie - drums, Liam Wilson - bass), who just completed a partial U.S. tour with Relapse labelmates Mastodon, will headline the second night of the recently-announced Relapse Records "Contamination Festival," January 19th in Philadelphia, PA (for full details, click here), and are currently writing material for their sophomore Relapse full-length, due in late 2003.
