Izzy Stradlin Recruits Slash & Duff For New Album

Izzy Stradlin Unites With Form

According to Blabbermouth.net, former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan have collaborated on former Gunner Izzy Stradlin's new solo album. While McKagan has played bass on the last two Stradlin effort, Slash has not played with Izzy on record since the Use Your Illusion sessions in the early ‘90s. Slash played guitar on the entire record and reportedly wrote three songs as well. Stradlin penned the rest of the material and, as always, performs all lead vocals. The effort will be released through the Internet in late spring. This will be the forth full-length album that Stradlin has released since leaving Guns. Duff has done one solo album, two Loaded albums, the Mad For The Racket album with Wayne Kramer, a 10 Minute Warning reunion album and plays on the last two Izzy records. Slash released two Snakepit albums and has made numerous guests apperences in just about every genre of music. So all I wanna know is…where the hell is Axl’s Chinese Democracy?!?!? Well, ithe meantime Duff will take his band Loaded out for a west coast tour before hitting Japan later this month. Here are the dates so far:

1/28/02 Hollywood, CA, Viper Room
1/ 30/02 Los Angeles, CA, Pretty Ugly Club
2/1/02 Portland, OR, TBA
2/2/02 Seattle, WA, Graceland
2/8/02 Osaka, JAP, Banana Hall
2/9/02 Nagoya, JAP, The Bottom Line
2/10/02 Tokyo, JAP, The Liquid Room

itd be kool if axl could rejoin, but the others hate him so thats kinda impossible. axles the coolest, but they don like him...

skankychic - 7/7/2004 3:57:38 PM
I wish to god these websites would include more interviews with the band guys instead of you stupid, boring fan fuckers that have nothing better to do with your life than obsess over who should be in what be and how they should do it...

givemeaname - 2/8/2004 1:16:03 PM
i think that the new guns n roses should be called guns n roses because its not,i think axl is the best front man ever but he is a fuckin dumbass he should re unite with the old guns the originals.

marrrtina - 12/9/2002 5:32:35 AM
hey,I don't know about you(I see you're all argueing!), but I like everything that Axl does in music;not that I just admire him, I think that he owns some kind of special sensibility that most people don't understand.

Bruiseviolet - 12/2/2002 8:24:11 AM
I think that there is no guns n roses anymore, its the axl rose band now. I think that without axl g'n'r isnt g'n'r but without slash and izzy g'n'r is nothing but a cover band. Buckethead is a good guitar player but these people in g'n'r do not belong there. It takes away from the band.

slash2002 - 7/18/2002 10:34:42 PM
I believe that GNR needs to make up because without Duff's bass playing and Slash's incredibly talented guitar playing and Axl's superb vocals all together it just won't be the same it will be like a completely different band that won't do the sales as the those three together, I mean Slash was a hugh part of the band no one can play it like he can you can imitate but not duplicate.

FUCK YOU AXL ROSE IZZY , SLASH ARE THE BEST

Alcoandy - 2/21/2002 6:15:44 AM
Giancaspro, you talk fucking shit, Axl was a large part of GNR but he is Not GNR. I went to see the new gnr, even though it was really good it wasnt really the same. FUck you!!

mogman - 2/16/2002 11:26:20 AM
In response to Giancaspo, what the fuck! Fuck Slash??? So what you're actually saying is that the rest of the members of GNR did nothing for Appetite... or Use Ur Illusions, give me a break! GNR wouldn't have been as succesful as they were without Slash, his riffs, his solos are classics and are the backbone of the songs. Stop ur internal dialogue, turn off the blinkers, Axl just adds vocal support which creates a further dinamic. Guns is nothing without the rest of the boys!

Gauda - 1/27/2002 5:35:30 AM
All was on drugs, yeah.. But all except for Steven knew when it was enough.. He was stoned constantly.. The court case was settled out of court and he got some money out of it.. He currently lives in Beverly Hills and is totally clean

Fiel76 - 1/23/2002 7:35:55 PM
If Axl want to do something different, why he called the band GNR's. Maybe his voice and his presence is not so great without the name GNR's. Who can explain me?

AndreaBrazil - 1/21/2002 12:59:15 PM
hey sdmnfy, I got your point. Here we don't have these bands all the time, so when they come we want to see them. But I'll have to desagree with you about Guns n'roses. We both had not seen them a long time when they concert at RIR3 and Vegas, so I think that what happened here would be the same in your country if we add the fact that the ticket were ship (not like Hard Rock Cafe) and we are talking about rock n'rio ( witch was a gig and not a club). BTW: I find it awsome too and I hope we can keep doing it!
