Blabbermouth.net has reported that
Sanctuary Visual Entertainment will be issuing Dokken's live
DVD, titled Dokken: Japan Live '95, on Monday February 16th, 2004. Joe Satriani's official web site, www.satriani.com, is reporting that the forthcoming G3 2003 DVD will be released in February 2004. The DVD was recorded during the October 20th show at Denver, Colorado and the October 21st show at Kansas City, Missouri on the G3 2003 tour and features performances by Satriani, Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen. David Holland, 55, who played with the heavy metal band Judas Priest in the 70s and 80s, faces one charge of attempted rape and five counts of indecently assaulting a 17-year-old youth with special needs who visited his home for lessons. Maria Savvides, prosecuting at Northampton Crown Court, said the alleged incidents came to light in December 2002 when the teenager sent a letter to his parents implying the abuse. The boy's parents had encouraged the drumming lessons to improve their son's self-esteem. As the relationship between teacher and pupil grew, they had allowed their son to stay over at his home on a number of occasions. "The letter revealed that things were happening at his drum teacher's house that should not have been happening," Miss Savvides told the court. Stratovarius has announced a brand-new vocalist Katriina Wiiala (a.k.a. Miss K) and states that she has spent the last four years fronting a "melodic hard rock" band called Aurora K, with whom she performed a number of gigs in addition to recording a two-song single, titled 11th Hour. Damageplan, the new band featuring former Pantera members Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul, will be hosting MTV2's Headbanger's Ball on Saturday, January 24th at 10:00 p.m. EST.
