Following on the heels on their brilliant comeback album, The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed, Riff After Riff collects songs off the UK foursome's Japanese only EP Riff After Riff After Motherfucking Riff along with bonus tracks and raities, to introduce them to the American market that has so ignored them over the years. Now, finally touring Stateside opening for their biggest fans The Darkness, The Wildhearts are finally proving to us Yanks what those bastard Brits have known for well over a decade: The Wildhearts are one of the best bands on the planet. Fans of the aforementioned Darkness, the Foo Fighters, Redd Kross, The Hellacopters, Cheap Trick, and even Metallica and Motorhead, that haven't hear this band simply must drop everything they are doing and go pick up any one of their power-pop-gone-extremely-metal-by-way-of-punk albums. Riff After Riff is a damn good place to start.

From the hook-laden pulp sugar of "Stormy in the North, Karma in the South" to the brutally heavy "Lake of Piss," The Wildhearts refuse to be pigeonholed, hopping from genre to genre with ease while retaining their hard edge and keeping their sugar-coated vocals firmly in tact. It's hard to imagine a punk or metal fans not being impressed by the sheer heart-stopping power of cuts like "Action Panzer," "Return To Zero," or "Bang!", yet it's even harder to imagine why a song like "The People That Life Forgot" wasn't a worldwide smash hit.
Bottom line is, there's a little something here for everyone if you like your rock hard, and your pop even harder.
wildheartfan1 - 6/25/2004 9:26:45 PM Saw them at Summerfest last night, they blew everyone away.Played Action Panzer of this disk,AWESOME!!These guys are one of the most under rated bands around,They blew Milwaukee away last night!!!
PaulyD - 6/17/2004 6:58:55 PM AndyB - that wasn't at Cardiff Uni was it?! Was a great show. Long time no see, hows tricks? Pauly. (And yes, thank god theres folk out there who appreciate the kickass music that is the Wildhearts)
nodeerforamonth - 6/13/2004 11:43:47 AM Incredible band. Incredible. Ginger's released about 100-150 songs with the Wildhearts, SG5, and solo stuff and there's only about 3 that I don't like! I made a 90 min "best of" tape once and it turned into TWO 90 tapes because there was just so much amazing stuff he's written.
skeebo666blah - 6/13/2004 7:35:24 AM I've been waiting 10 years to see The Wildhearts. I finally saw them the other night! AWESOME! GREATEST BAND ON EARTH!
Exsgt33 - 6/10/2004 9:47:00 AM The Wildhearts rule! Check out the "Phuq" CD if you haven't already.
mariodeth - 6/10/2004 9:18:46 AM Never checked'em out...sounds like it's about time!
Mattboy71 - 6/9/2004 8:10:03 PM DemonFilth, obviously you weren't paying attention. Generic? Brotha please. You must have had the finest wool over your eyes and designer earplugs in your ears. We're you buying drinks at the bar during their set?
rockerJT - 6/9/2004 2:28:54 PM Great band and great album. Does not have songs from any other CD's other than Riff...... and the B sides to the singles from that album. This is great, but check out PHUQ, Earth Vs. The Wildhearts, Don't Be Happy, Just worry, or Fishing for luckies. Best band around.
DemonFilth - 6/9/2004 9:04:13 AM Saw these guys open for The Darkness in Charlotte. They were Ok. Nothing more. I'd never buy their stuff.Very generic. The Darkness (surprisingly) were awesome live!
DemonFilth - 6/9/2004 9:03:12 AM Yo
AndyB - 6/9/2004 6:38:50 AM The Wildhearts are possibly the greatest British rock band to emerge in the 90’s only to go pretty much ignored! Saw them playing a craphole club back in 92 (I think) supporting Love/Hate. Never heard of them. Remember everyone taking the piss out of them because the drums weren’t set up right and they couldn’t get their act together like a bunch of amateurs only to go on and deliver one of the most in your face, adrenalin pumpin show I have ever witnessed. You would think they were veteran headliners the way everyone was going crazy. Kicked ass! Since then seen them a couple of dozen times in the UK. Not heard any of the songs on here but if you don’t have Earth vs Wildhearts, Don’t Worry Be Happy or Phuq in your collection you are missing out. Earth is still a regular in my cd player 12 years later! Greetings from Shitsville, Suckerpunch, Caffiene Bomb & My Baby is a Headfuck are awesome! Some of the real gems though are the b-sides they cut for the singles of those first 3 cds. Great to see The Wildhearts back and finally getting noticed over here!
forest1979 - 6/8/2004 9:11:45 PM The Wildhearts are one of the most enduring rock bands of the last 12-13 years and should be applauded for that alone. However, they are also significantly underestimated songwise and are a great act live. About time for some big success!
Mattboy71 - 6/8/2004 7:40:06 PM God bless Frank Meyer and God bless The Wildhearts. Riff After Motherfucking Riff...they won't be destroyed.
Denim_Justice - 6/8/2004 9:02:52 AM i love their stuff, but everyone i have tried to get to check them out does not care for them.....i still say they rock!
fizzgig - 6/7/2004 11:24:56 PM I've heard these guys hyped a lot in the past few years, but always thought they wouldn't appeal to me, from the way their sound is always described. I'll have to look into this though.
