SINGER FOR LEGENDARY HARD ROCK BAND GUNS N' ROSES LOSES MOTION AGAINST INDIE JUGGERNAUT RELEASING ALBUM BY HOLLYWOOD ROSE
Los Angeles, CA - On Tuesday, July 6th, United States District Court Judge Gary A. Fees denied the motion of W. Axl Rose and his Guns N' Roses partnership for a preliminary injunction against Los Angeles-based independent record label Cleopatra Records. Rose had sought an injunction against the release of the album entitled Hollywood Rose - The Roots of Guns N' Roses.
In early June, Rose sued Cleopatra Records for trademark infringement, violation of rights in his name and likeness, and for unfair competition. The singer was trying to prevent the label from releasing original Hollywood Rose recordings from early 1984. Hollywood Rose is the band Rose formed With Izzy Stradlin, Chris Weber and Johnny Kreis, before Rose and Stradlin went on to become part of the biggest rock 'n' roll band in the world, Guns 'N Roses.
The five original tracks were purchased by Cleopatra from guitarist Chris Weber, who performed on the record and who paid for the recordings back in '84. On June 22, 2004, Deadline Music, a label of Cleopatra Records, released the original five songs with added remixes by former Guns N' Roses axeman Gilby Clarke and Cinderella drummer Fred Coury.
Already receiving early accolades by such high-profile press as Rolling Stone and VH1 among others, Hollywood Rose - The Roots of Guns N' Roses showcases the immense talent these four musicians possessed and why this band matters.
noxious - 9/15/2004 2:00:54 AM Am at present reading unauthorised Biography of GnR and Axl Rose. Some of it I'm sure isn't quite right (part. ref's to Axl being like Michael Jackson) but still does give some insight into the overall purpose of Axl Rose in his song-writing. Very good explanation of why Axl is the only one left and also info on new material. Very good for all interested - hopefully there will soon be an 'Authorised' Version.
noxious - 8/25/2004 1:27:18 AM OK - have now got Velvet's Album. Have to say the Guitaring is excellent. Not a bad sound - although without wishing to be biased (OK I have to be as an Axl fan)it is not an epic sound - although as a first album not bad. Hopefully others following this one will carry a steady improvement. Also, have heard/seen rumours on the web of November as release date for Axl & the longly awaited 'Chinese Democracy' PLEASE let it be so!
noxious - 8/4/2004 5:01:51 AM Why can't you lot leave Axl alone? Have you seen/heard any of Guns n' Roses? Every song written by Axl was a masterpiece! All from the heart and quality. I'm sad to say Velvet just won't have the edge without Axl. His songwriting and unique singing talent harmonized with the skill of Slash, Matt and Duff were just too awesome. I await with anticipation Velvet's stuff but am worried the gothic frontman will not be up to it. Any feedback?

So with that said it will never be the same again unless it is with everybody from back in the day (Slash,Duff,Izzy,ect...)It is just like METALLICA the FUCKIN' best band of the 80's untill CLIFF BURTON'S DEATH!!AXL is not dead thought,so unless he gets his head out of his snapper and regroups with the old crue he is all FUCKIN' done!!!PEROID.This should be the name of band now SQUIRTGUNS and POSERS!!!
