REVIEW BY: Revan
This was my 15th time seeing Queensryche, I have watched them from the beginning, through all the highs, and all the lows.
Now true, the last several years since Chris DeGarmo's departure has left a very sour taste in the mouths of the fans, and the last few albums have been sub-par, (with the exception of Tribe, which I liked very much) Queensryche are now poised to strike for a comeback that will surprise and amaze all the naysayers.
There was no opening act, and the doors opened late. When Queensryche did start, they played an odd selection of songs from their past catalogue, but really nothing that was too impressive. Mostly selections from the Empire album, and a few oddly misplaced tunes. They ended their first set with “Silent Lucidity,” in which an orchestra accompanied them.
When we came back from the intermission, the stage had been re-arranged, and
Operation:Mindcrime began. Although the songs remain mostly true to their
original versions, the set has been completely re-imagined with the inclusion of actors, Pamela Moore's blistering backup vocals, and few new surprises. I don't want to spoil this for anyone, so I will just say that Operation: Mindcrime is back with a vengeance, and far surpasses the original 1991 spectacle. Definitely worth checking out.
metaldominator - 11/13/2004 2:48:57 PM egx500, we've been over this before. You like to come in here and try and impress people with your knowledge of Nirvana. NOBODY FUCKING CARES. You come across loking like a social introvert with no fucking friends, and nothing better to do than read 50 books on Nirvana. Go to Seattle and start checking gutters and dumpsters for people who make like Kurt as much as you. NOBODY FUCKING CARES MORON.
ripmegadeth - 11/13/2004 2:41:26 PM I saw this show and it will be the LAST Queensryche concert I'll ever go to. To start off the show started over an hour late. Queensryche lost that edge and tightness they USE to have live. There set had no smooth transitions into other songs and the set was just odd. The Operation Mind Crime II was very confusing since Geoff said it was supposed to be an anti-Bush statement. Everyone of the persons I talked to after the show all said the same thing. It came across as a Pro-Bush set more then anything else. When you have a guitarist wearing a ski mask and Al Queada members on the screen in the back ground killing people that tells me that the job isn't done. I'm not sure how that was supposed to be an anti-Bush statement since these people were brain washed years before Bush was put in office. Oh well. Queensryche is on their last leg. All good bands know when to call it quits, Queensryche its time to pull the plug.

nadedema - 11/10/2004 4:41:39 AM Queensryche reminds of of having a dingleberry irritating my anus while out running. It's bothersome and ends up with me getting a horrific case of butthole burn and skid marks.
