Lamb of God "Burn the Priest" in Los Angeles By Sefany Jones, Contributing Editor Wednesday, March 30, 2005 @ 9:54 PM
The Lambs Cannot Be Silenced!
The Lambs Prevail, Plus Burn the Preist Reissue!
Laughing in the face of adversity, Lamb of God will not be told that they can not play to their Los Angeles fans! A recently-banned Lamb of God performance at the Forum in Los Angeles, as part of the ‘Subliminal Verses’ tour with famed headliners Slipknot, has left the group no choice but to take L.A. on their own! Their performance was banned due to their former moniker, “Burn the Priest,” not sitting well with the religious group who owns the venue. Now, Lamb of God have set up a headline date for Los Angeles fans at the notorious Glasshouse Pavilion in Pomona; thus giving Lamb of God the opportunity to perform to a more intimate crowd.
Don’t miss this “controversial” act lay it down with Fireball Ministry on April ninth at the Glasshouse in Pomona!

Burn The Priest! This is Lamb of God before there was Lamb of God. This is the spark that lit the fire. Re-mixed and re-mastered by metal guru Colin Richardson, and featuring new liner notes by original producer Steve Austin, Burn the Priest is resurrected. Long before the "New Wave of American Heavy Metal" had been christened, Burn the Priest laid the foundation for what would prove to be the rebirth of metal. With their pummeling combination of grind, death and thrash, Burn the Priest devastated the uninitiated in warehouses and basements across America. Slowly and methodically pushing the threshold of sonic extremes, while building a dedicated following that would ultimately grow to change the face of the music industry.
Burn the Priest paved the way for a new generation of metal.
How appropriate as the owners of The Forum in Los Angeles recently banned Lamb of God from performing on the upcoming ‘Subliminal Verses’ tour because of this, their former moniker!
