According to a Children of Bodom fan site, the surprise track on the forthcoming COB album Are You Dead Yet?, will be a cover of the Britney Spears hit "Oops, I Did It Again".
A source at the website has reaveld that keyboardist Janne Warman happens to be a Britney fan. A total of two cover songs were recorded during the Are You Dead Yet? sessions; the second one will be used as a Japanese bonus track.
JeffNothing - 2/9/2006 6:30:27 PM I know that I'm posting this very late, but I just happened to come upon this thread. I can't believe how stupid 100% of you are. Someone said "Children of Bordom are just showing their true colors, never liked them anywy." Wow. How stupid can you people be? It's a JOKE, covering the Britney Spears is a joke, and Janne liking Britney Spears is a joke. If you don't THINK it's funny right away, you never will. But at least be intelligent enough to recognize what it is. By the way, the dialogue towards the end is Alexi and Laiho talking about bimbos and six-packs.
davesmetal - 9/1/2005 10:51:40 AM lol This cover kicks ass, funny as hell and they made it evil. COB kicks ass!!!
ghoredrums - 8/10/2005 6:53:31 PM CHILDREN OF BODOM es una buena banda, pero k no haga mas mamadas como esa. Britney Spears es un puta barata
Accursed - 8/5/2005 3:01:37 PM Dudes CoB rules..threy are the greatest band i've listened to and i dont any fan of them should care if they cover britneys songs...Alexi is my favorite guitarist and i dont believe that shit about the keybordist being a fan of her..no selfrespected man and headbanger would admit that..even if it was true!!
Ize_Katt - 7/30/2005 9:18:24 AM This sounds weird....
But i am sure i'm gonna love this...
I love every piece of Bodom..
Next time.. SLAVE 4 YOU or GENIE IN A BOTTLE..
Ha..ha..ha...
Lakerfan - 7/25/2005 1:58:07 PM Britney Spears? give me a break. Wierd Al was the only one that could pull of cover tunes of any one and make it funny.

VicRattlehead502 - 7/25/2005 12:28:01 PM I don't know which CoB album I heard, but it was actually pretty damn good. (The music was outstanding, and the singer was... well.. tolerable.) But I seriously think this will only hurt their credibility, rather than create a positive reaction from their established fans *OR* any new fans this stunt may bring in. Bad idea, guys... Just get a singer who doesn't growl or bark like the cookie monster and leave Britney Spear's songs where they belong... in a stinky dumpster under some dead squirrel carcasses.
The_Space_Lord - 7/24/2005 6:39:07 PM It's been done before i.e. Travis and Type O Negative who both covered "Baby One More Time" as a joke. Get back to me when Amy Lee of Evanescence covers Britney's face with her bare ass.
GrandAmGT - 7/23/2005 7:47:42 PM This is gay.
scarlettnite - 7/22/2005 10:37:30 PM i like 2 of britneys songs "i'm a slave for you" & "toxic"
spacegirl67 - 7/22/2005 11:07:14 AM You're right webmeister, this isn't a new concept. But why Britney Spears? There's nothing viable in her catalogue that can be converted into metal. Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal (covered by Alien Ant Farm) worked out really good, IMO. mWd
Legion666 - 7/20/2005 1:34:00 AM Children of Bordom are just showing their true colors, never liked them anywy. If you want some real Thrash Metal, stick with bands like Kreator, Destruction, Exodus or Slayer!
Blobber - 7/19/2005 8:14:24 PM Britney's looking kinda haggard as of late, and she's not very smart. However, I'd still bang her if she came over to my trailer with a six pack.
_XXXXXXXXXX__ - 7/19/2005 6:44:37 PM No METALP I am not kidding. Every band like this should record at least one Britney Spears or Justin Timberlake song to get any kind of musical credibility. This kind of music is usually for the jock type of man (which I like) but they're stupid and don't buy as much records as us TRL fans do.
