New Celtic Frost Album Finally Done

Celtic Frost frontman Tom Gabriel Fischer posted the following information on his his official blog:
"Insomnia Persisting
The album will truly live up to the word that will be its title. But there is still some work to do. We are not quite there yet. I worship making albums, creating and playing music. I have committed my life to this, I have sacrificed so much for this, and, in return, it has given me all I am today. But making this album, my tenth album, has been the most difficult undertaking I have ever embarked upon. And these are not just heavy metal-typical overblown, empty or sensationalist words. I also believe I am not the only one to feel this way in the group. This album is a challenge, and yet the results are intoxicating. We were in the studio again this weekend and will be back for a couple of days by the end of the coming week to do some additional work on a couple of songs. We might even add a composition. Martin (Ain - bass) and me are mulling some eccentric ideas. For all intents and purposes, however, the album is at long last finished, and this week's Popkomm music industry convention in Berlin will see detailed talks between Antje, our manager, and some of the labels that have voiced strong interest. This album has been far from easy for me. And I have been far from easy on this album."
Celtic Frost's new studio album, tentatively titled Dark Matter Manifest, is their first in 13 years.

Damn, Fenders...I was at that same show...I even recorded it but don't know where the tape's at...Thats sweet man. It was a great show. He's a stupid useless trivia question for you. Do you remember the name of the HORRIBLE local band that opened? The singer was a drunken fat slob who was talking shit to the audience.

I got to see these guys on the Into the Pandemonium tour just before they went fag. They opened for Exodus at Fenders Ballroom in Long Beach...GOD DAMN!!! IM OLD!!!
deadguy - 9/13/2005 1:17:06 PM Tom doesn't say a word about the direction this album will be taking...and that really gets me worried. Is it heavy? Is it "diverse" (meaning lots of crap)? is it an old-school CF album? is it "Cold Lake part 2?
Peteypie - 9/13/2005 10:07:14 AM This is gonna be one of those albums that will either be the best one of 2005/6 or a complete crock of shit. They've had 13 years to see the influence they've created and hopefully this effort will be some sort of reaction to that - and will fuckin rock. Then again it could be Cold Lake part2 with more goth sounding songs - perhaps 'Black Cherry Orchards?'
