Hang Out and Jam with the Band

Dave Mustaine has posted the following message in the Forum section of the band's website www.megadeth.com:

"Droogies and She Wolves!

Last night was fantastic and it reminded me of the very first time that I ever came down to South America, it was to Rock In Rio, and it was to play for the Brazilians. How could I have forgotten? Every city we have played on this run down here has upped the ante for the previous city, and all I can say is if you haven't come to South America, you haven't seen all of America.

We have the flight from hell today, leaving the hotel at 5:30 PM, flight at 9:50 PM, land in Miami at 4:00 AM-ish, then head back to Puerto Rico. It's no wonder they are putting us on the beach for two days after that torture.

Well, we are now down to the last show of the tour, of the record, and Puerto Rico being the beautiful little Island that it is, I will be happy to end it there. Hell, part of me really doesn't want it to end yet, but I know that I have to go home and recharge for a few months.

There have been a lot of new Droogs that have joined up here in the last few weeks due to the end of the tour, or us going down to SA, and I want to welcome you, that and say you are part of the kewlest community on the net. I hope you feel right at home.

Here is a surprise for you . . . we are going to have our first fan fair next year, and will probably include a chance to jam with us. Ya see, Seymour Duncan threw a great bash this year, and I loved it so much that I wanted to duplicate it, which means a select few of you who come will be staying in my little town in San Diego County, we will hang out and do stupid stuff like pictures, signing, auctions of private collectables, trading and what not for the night and then you Droogs can take turns getting up and jamming with us.

I still have to work out the details with Sarge and Benchmark, as well as the crew and band, AND get enough earplugs to go around for the beginners that will take the stage with us, but details will come after I get home for a while and unwind. And when I say us, I mean Megadeth.

Have a great day!"

That would be pretty kool to jam with Megadeth. A young upstart musician could recall "the good ol' days" when he or she jammed with their favourite band, etc. I'd love to have that opportunity.
