Fu Manchu have posted the following update at their website www.fu-manchu.com:
"In an effort to pay tribute to the great city and people of New Orleans that have hosted the band on many an occasion, Fu Manchu have put up special collectors items for auction. All proceeds from this auction will be donated to local charities and the local ASPCA of New Orleans. Included are: 2 original silk screen show posters suitable for framing from their most recent New Orleans shows in 2004 and 2005 and a Fu Manchu custom skate deck with green trucks and matching green Fu Manchu wheels from Gravity Skateboards.
All items are signed by the band and will be bid on as one collection. We are working on getting a corporate donor who will match the funds raised by this auction, so please help tomake this a great success!!!
Just because its off the front pages, the need does not go away!!! Help us heal the Crescent City so it may rock-n-rage once again!!!"

oldskool666 - 10/22/2005 1:42:43 AM yeah i think fu manchu was the band that played on monster garage.the episode where they made the mobile skatepark.fu manchu is for skaters in the 90`s what d.r.i was for us skaters in the 80`s.there are alot of old skate bands i wish were still together.like gang green,the faction,drunk injuns and the original lineup of suicidal tendencies.i still have my may 1987 issue of thrasher with mike muir on the cover.
