From mtv.com:

Van Halen will not be taking INXS' lead by participating in a possible second season of the reality television series Rock Star, according to the band's spokesperson. MTV News erroneously reported Wednesday that a source close to the program claimed that if Rock Star does return for a second season, that the core Van Halen trio — Michael Anthony and brothers Alex and Eddie Van Halen — would be the band auditioning potential singers. The band flatly denies any involvement in the show. MTV News had also previously reported that a spokesperson for Van Halen said the band had no comment regarding pending projects. However, that spokesperson was never asked specific questions regarding the group's hypothetical involvement with the Rock Star show.

scrapmetal, I think the only Van Hagar songs I really liked were Humans Being (from the Twister soundtrack), Poundcake, and Amsterdam. All of these have the kind of explosive quality Van Halen had. The rest of their stuff I can take or leave. dasani go join Lakerfan and corvettethunder at one of Sammy's Cabo parties. You could all get down with your Van Hagar lovin' poser boyfriends.

DOGSBOLLOCKS - 10/30/2005 10:23:12 AM

Last good Van Hagar song: "On top of the World".

Boohaha - 10/27/2005 1:55:33 PM
Who cares.M-TV sucks anyways.

corvettethunder - 10/27/2005 12:10:13 PM
Um, the band IS over. If you want to get that ole' party with the fans feeling back, then go to Cabo when Hagar plays.

Bman1234 - 10/26/2005 7:24:41 AM
The show could have gottan huge ratings, but the band would be OVER.

What's wrong with Van Halen today is that they are, pardon the cliche, Van Hagar. Lakerfan proves it just by having such a stupid Hollyweird name. He doesn't mention whether he's a Van Hagar fan specifically, but his exuberance over some semi-talented bands and the fact that he wrote about them here under this article suggest he's either a Van Hagar fan or someone trying to promote his cited bands to Van Hagar fans - maybe he's smelling the yuppie money that's been Van Hagar's source of income now for at least the last ten years. Being a yuppie into the Lakers and Van Hagar is about as gay as it gets. Wake up and stop spending your money on fools who don't even know your alive and don't want to. Eddie and Alex may be talented musicians and songwriters, but they've been milking the public with commercial crap since the mid 80's. In other words they're not playing what they're capable of, not just technically, but songwritingwise either. Roth was good for them whether they realize it or not, sort of a kick in the ass for Ed and Alex, to motivate them. Van Halen without Roth is like Deep Purple without Blackmore, Zeppelin without Bonham, Maiden without Dickinson, you get my point...the full chemistry is gone. The explosiveness is gone. Get used to to Van Halen as musak.

By the time these dudes wise up, it'll be too late for a reunion tour cause all of us original VH fans will be long since dead...

scrapmetal - 10/24/2005 7:12:31 AM
Ill take Brooke Burke anyay over Valerie-why not Carmen elektra or Pam ANdersen or Heather Locklear? They know & love the heavy metal schlong.

allymcsqueal - 10/23/2005 8:40:31 PM
That show would get huge ratings. But they'd have to can dave navarro and that monotone brooke burke. Put in people who actually KNOW about music. valerie bertanelli could make a demi moore like comeback and be the host.

scrapmetal - 10/23/2005 10:19:08 AM
VH were the kings from 78-84.Still competent from 85- 90.Now just a spot on the horizon.

Lakerfan - 10/22/2005 9:14:15 PM
