Release Date on the Next Guns N' Roses Album?

Wait, Wait. What?

TheGauntlet.com is reporting Geffen Records has officially announced that the latest from Guns N' Roses will finally hit the stores March 6th. Don't break a hip, Martha. It's not the long and possibly lost Axl Rose opus, Chinese Democracy. No, it's Volume 2 of the band's Greatest Hits.

With the first installment, released last year against the wishes of Axl Rose, and doing well on the charts, a Volume 2 is just good business for a label that has waited and waited for Axl to deliver the goods on some new music.

The track list of the new album will be announced in the near future.

It is important to note that when word leaked out about Vol.1 releasing, Geffen Records moved to get websites to remove the story. KNAC.COM has yet to be contacted, however our contact at TheGauntlet says he's already feeling the heat. The latest update on the story is Geffen Records says it's all untrue, even though the source of the information originally came from a Geffen employee (in another country)...so, go figure. Would this be a G N' R release without controversy?

I'm so tired of greatest hits albums from all these once great bands. Why not ever put out some new material so the metal scene can come alive once again?

blackleather - 10/31/2005 11:21:39 AM
