Black Sabbath to be Inducted Into UK Hall of Fame

Heavy metal outfit Black Sabbath, led by Ozzy Osbourne, are to be inducted into the UK Music Hall Of Fame.
Sabbath enjoyed great success throughout the seventies and the eighties, with a string of hits including the anthemic "Mama, I'm Coming Home" (Ozzy).
The group were famed for their legendary stage shows, with enigmatic and unpredictable frontman Osbourne often indulging in such wholesome activities as biting bats heads off mid-performance.
Osbourne, has since went on to achieve greater notoriety as a star of reality TV show "The Osbournes", which has seen the majority of his family achieve international celebrity status.
A clearly delighted Ozzy commented: "For once in my life I'm speechless, but very happy and honoured."
Osbourne will be honoured alongside Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, New Order, The Who and The Kinks.
The late John Peel will become an honorary member reports The Sun.
The ceremony will take place at London's Alexandra Palace on November 16.

It's distressing to see that Virgin doesn't know the difference between Ozzy's solo career and what he did with Black Sabbath. Regardless, we'd like to pass along our congratulations and our kudos to the UK Hall for recognizing the contributions of Black Sabbath, something that their American counterparts have not yet done.

We don't want a metal hall combined with a rap hall because the powers that be in this country would just end up promoting the rappers just like they do the soul and other non rock artists at the rock hall, obviously for political reasons, since sales-wise metal is the bulk of rock for the past thirty five years and has far outsold any other modern music in general. Yeah, there might be a few morons like Jackson making millions in the pop arena, but if you total the number of artists, metal is number one world-wide, no matter whether the mainstream media relegates it to the underground at any given time.

n' roll hall to induct our favorites. Let's face it. Half of the honorees in Cleveland's Hall are not even rock n' roll, they're funk, soul, pop, and everything else contemporary. Hell, when I visited my home town
(yeah, I was born in Cleveland), I visited the outside of the hall of fame, but I didn't enter because they managed to place a statue of Michael Jackson with what looked like Stevie Nicks in front of the building. At that moment all I could do was hang my head in shame that I was from Cleveland not because the old wigga management/owners decided on the "king of Pop" for a pairing meant obviously for shock effect, but because that traditionally very blue collar, very metal oriented cities population did nothing about it. Hell, it was enough to make me want to "hire" Osama Bin Laden's mercenaries to take out the whole complex.
