Problems With Visas

Thomas Jensen, manager of UK metal legends Saxon, has issued the following statement at the band's official site:
"I'm sad to announce that Saxon has to postpone and reschedule all US dates into March. After having everything organized for the US Tour the visas finally did not get to us in time. The band was ready to leave Europe and is very sad not to go. Everybody was looking forward to it. We're trying our best to reschedule the tour as soon as possible. Saxon, although these circumstances are well beyond our control, would like to apologize to everyone for any inconvenience that has been caused by this delay. A big thank you to all our promoters, fans and agents for keeping the shows up to the very last minute. Let's try and make the best out of it. We'll be back with more information next week."
Blobber - 11/14/2005 10:25:13 PM The entire Saxon band was killed in an avalanche in Aspen yesterday.
DSHORTWAVE - 11/14/2005 8:17:28 PM Weathor Saxon was or wasn't a major headliner, the fact is that they have made some fairly decent recordings. While I never caught them in concert,or, had any desire to, they are still a lot better than most freaking Rap bands ! Metal rules no matter what Genre of Metal it is.
poundinpat - 11/12/2005 10:59:01 PM this story is the same story the bands manager told the club when i was dj at (the Shak)'98-2002, the club had already passed out flyers , got local bands to prepay to open for them, then the day of the show, their manager phoned with the same story 6 years ago ! Thats a long timr with the same problem with visas, rthey must be terrorists if the cant even get temp. visas to work here for a short tour, even Ginger Baker (cream drummer) who had been deported from the usa back in 2002 for 3 different heroin arrests, was able to get a work visa to play Msg (ny arena) for this Cream reunion tour last month, and usually when you get deported its very hard to get back in , so this sounds like a lie to me

scrapmetal - 11/8/2005 10:25:44 AM Great act in club or small theatre but their glory days are long gone. All albums through "End of the Innocence" are classic NWOBHM.

SAXON'S Power and the Glory lp Crushed anything Motley Crue did in the mid 80's.......<---agreed
Blobber - 11/7/2005 5:40:07 PM Rexfag. I too ask a question and make a statement- you are a worthless piece of shit. Go wet your bed, kill some cats, start some fires, and kill some whores...you fucking freak. Or, should I say, "freak". Your pussy smells like amonia.
capitalsuspect - 11/7/2005 2:35:15 PM "Saxon, although these circumstances are well beyond our control, would like to apologize to everyone for any inconvenience that has been caused by this delay." I'm sure people all over the US were cancelling vacations and elective surgeries in anticipation for these shows...
capitalsuspect - 11/7/2005 2:25:12 PM I saw Saxon open for Maiden on IM's "Piece of Mind" tour. I thought they were awful - Fastway had played before them, and it should have been the other way around. It sucks when you're at a festival seating show and you can't get away from a bad act - Saxon was almost bad enough to give up my space next to the stage for Maiden - that's pretty bad.

GeneralRoachkof - 11/7/2005 2:02:24 PM I love their cheesy videos with guitar player with hat on. These guys opened for Motley in 84, UCSB.
