Famed music producer Bob Ezrin will be inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame on March 2, 2006 as part of the Canadian Music Industry Awards.
Ezrin is a legendary record producer who first attained fame in the 1970's producing classic albums for Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, Lou Reed, Peter Gabriel and Kiss. He is noted as an innovator and technical ground-breaker having been one of the earliest adopters of multi-machine recording and computer sequencing, sampling and editing. He has continued to produce music, film, TV and theatrical productions into the late 90's and 00's, working with such artists as Jane's Addiction, The Darkness, Deftones and Nine Inch Nails.
Ezrin was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame during the Juno Awards in April 2004.

3crdpkr - 12/7/2005 3:30:08 PM he may have produced some of the worst bands ever, but those fuckers sure made (and are making) alot of money!
flash80 - 12/6/2005 6:54:31 PM damn...this guy produced four of the worst bands of our generation...NIN, Janes Addiction, Deftones, and The Darkness...of course he is from Canada, that explains most of it.
flash80 - 12/6/2005 6:52:36 PM holy shit...I have to agree with Vic...the Deftones are strong contenders for worst band ever...and live they grab that honor hands fucking down...the worst show I have ever seen...
VicRattlehead502 - 12/6/2005 1:25:53 PM He helped produce the Deftones?? How embarrassing. The Deftones: Probably the worst band to ever exist. (And you thought it was Korn.)
skullbasher - 12/6/2005 11:19:14 AM ...well are they going to build a statue? or does he just get a little plaque and a sheet of jibberish on paper? WOW!!
Avengerkillerof - 12/6/2005 8:54:19 AM I agree Halo, Bob Ezrin has produced some of Rock's greatest albums. For me, as an Alice Cooper and Kiss fan, he's part of the "family". He deserves the recognition.
haloofflies - 12/6/2005 8:27:30 AM "The Wall" and Alice Cooper's "Killer" records were great productions same with Kiss "Revenge". I've seen Ezrin interviewed and he has some great stories. He seems pretty cool.
savoy - 12/6/2005 6:40:08 AM I'll be Dammed! Somebody recognized Frank Marino.
7thRingofHell - 12/5/2005 10:41:00 PM Frank Marino and Mahagony Rush eh!
HPL - 12/5/2005 9:36:27 PM Fuck the criticism. Anyone remember the eerie kids voices on GOD OF THUNDER? And that was 1976! Music from The Elder was also an amazing album. I always used Destroyer and The Elder to brainwash hapless pop fans into becoming metalheads. Got loads of friends into KISS, and then the wider world of metal thanks to those two albums. Nice one, Bob.
Blobber - 12/5/2005 8:28:04 PM Supertramp rocks!
knaclistener - 12/5/2005 7:59:59 PM Canada is where performers go when they don't want to be drafted into the American Hall Of Fame.
Iakov - 12/5/2005 6:49:21 PM Jane's Addiction, The Darkness, Deftones and Nine Inch Nails...He deserves a long and painful death just as the agony that are listen to this bands
AceFrehleydotcom - 12/5/2005 4:50:52 PM I would think that Rush and Triumph would be the only inductees. Oh, and Paul Shaffer.
