Still in Iced Earth

Iced Earth and ex-Judas Priest singer Tim "Ripper" Owens and his band Beyond Fear have signed on with Niji Management in Los Angeles. Niji is owned by Wendy Dio who also manages Ronnie James Dio. Legendary drummer Aynsley Dunbar (Whitesnake, Journey, Zappa, Jefferson Starship) is also on the Niji roster.

This marks a new stage in Rippers' musical career as he hopes to get Beyond Fear more into the limelight.

Beyond Fear is currently recording a new album which is set to be released in May on SPV Records worldwide, and there are touring plans to play festivals in Europe in summer 2006.

No word on how this will affect Rippers' relationship with Iced Earth, if at all.

Ripper will be singing in the Roadrunner United Live show December 15th in New York. Some of the special guests confirmed to perform include members of Beyond Fear, Slipknot, Machine Head, Killswitch Engage, Biohazard, Life of Agony, Fear Factory, Sepultura and Trivium who will join the already announced "core band" comprised of Joey Jordison (Slipknot) - drums, Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) - lead guitar, Dino Cazares (ex Fear Factory, Brujeria) - rhythm guitar, and Adam Duce (Machine Head) - bass.

I can not believe I had to start an account to tell some wanker the news. NOBODY could ever replace RONNIE JAMES DIO - I love Ozzy , but he kicks his ass! Tim was great when I saw him with Iced Earth! When it comes to Judas Priest-Again, NOBODY could replace Rob Halford. Enjoy all the music from these bands! It is a lot better than what you will hear on the radio. Check out Demons & Wizards-Touched by the Crimson King.

Mummyman acts as though he knows Tim personally. Quite frankly, his version of Diamonds and Rust destroys Halfords. Tim is better off without Priest because they wouldn't do anything when Tim was in the band. They were asked to do Ozz Fest when Tim was in Priest, but of course they wouldn't do that. Tim tried to get more publicity for preiest to sell more albums, but of course he was not allowed to do that. I am sick of hearing and seeing all of these put downs on Tim, Halford and Priest. Not much of a fan base if this is what they have. Tim never said he was better than Halford but only gave him praises for his voice and contributions to metal, yet everyone acts as though he did. Amazing. I pitty Priest if the fans for Priest are a pure emulation of you. Fair weather fans (like those who didn't follow them when Tim was in) make me absolutley sick. I challenge any one of you to sing the music he has in the past, present and what he will sing in the future. Ah, but then you wouldn't ba able to post your stupid shit because you would be famous as well.

Ozone: Priest has been doing Diamonds and Rust as a ballad for a long time-This is not a revelation by any stretch. HPL-you're high if you think Tim is "Way" better off without Priest especially considering he was virtually an unknown until he got the Priest gig, anything that has come after that is due in large part to the higher profile gained from being in Priest. I think if you compared Wintersbane sales to "Jugulator" then "Demolition" followed by "The Glorious Burden" you'd have a perfect example of a bell curve. The are all quality releases with amazing vocals, but reality has to be considered. The Halford: "Live Insurrection" double disc is by far one of the best live releases in metal history, right up there with "Live After Death" virtually flawless in every way.

Jugulator is indeed a kick ass album. That double bass drum intro and then Ripper shrieking Jugulator at an incredibly high voice is awesome. Mr Owens can sing!

Happy_Holidooze - 12/14/2005 4:20:28 AM
Bloober... bungcheese? I think you would like it if they did. In case you have not guessed by now... I think you have homosexual tendencies... I can work with that.....lol Just kidding.... I like to fuck with you... in case you haven't noticed that either...

Ripper is going to be singing for Dio? About time they replaced that midget fuck.

Blobber - 12/11/2005 5:16:39 PM
Priest and Ripper can sniff my bungcheese.

davesmetal - 12/10/2005 7:15:56 PM
My favorite off Jugulator is Catheral Spines. And I like burn in hell.

scrapmetal - 12/10/2005 9:24:54 AM
Priest was great with with & without him-he needs to join an established band & break out.If any vocalist on the current metal scene deserves stardom, its this guy.

Manowar_1 - 12/9/2005 10:07:12 AM
Ripper sure took Iced Earth to another level.

Manowar_1 - 12/9/2005 10:06:02 AM
Jugulator if a very underrated album

Wolfrider7 - 12/8/2005 11:26:35 PM
Jugulator is vicious! Bought it for $1 at a garage sale not thinking it would be much. Wrong!!!!!!!!!!

HPL - 12/8/2005 10:02:06 PM
Dudes, i hate to say this - but the reunited Priest album wasn't that great. I know it's sacreligious, but i thought the two Halford solo albums, and that INCREDIBLE live album ( 'Insurrection' ), pissed all over the new Priest CD. Ripper is WAY better off without them, too.

_Blitz_Ball_ - 12/8/2005 9:15:27 PM
I agree with Jugulator. \m/
