My name is William Howell from Los Angeles, CA. I've been a Panthers fan since the team's inception. I've stuck by them through all the highs and lows of the last 11 years and none more apparent than the 2003 and 2005 playoff runs.
I have been fortunate enough to catch all the Away games out here on the west coast (usually against the 49ers) since '95 before the recent division realignment. I don't get to travel much and have only gone to Charlotte a few times but that never stops me from cheering my team on...win or lose.
I started out as a Steelers fan growing up and when a lot of the Pittsburgh personnel/players started to migrate to the then expansion Carolina, it was a natural progression for me to the Panthers as I was intrigued by a new NFL team, especially since I never followed the Raiders or Rams even when they WERE here! I additionally took a liking to the team name and the colors.
I do a rock radio show every Sunday on KNAC.COM and when I'm on the air during football season I make sure to log on-line and refresh the Panther scores since I can't watch the game live on TV. The plus and minus of doing that is: if we have a positive play, I tend to cheer over whatever music I'm playing. If we have a turnover, cover your ears. Its not pretty!
I've met a lot of the players (past & present) after games and it has been a real pleasure: Jake, Moose, both Rickys (Manning and Proehl), Minter, Wesley Walls, Matt Willig, Jordan Gross, Lamar Lathon, Kevin Greene and the late great Sam Mills.

OK, Will. We're proud of you. How about those Steelers? Not much of a consolation prize, but at least you got to pimp KNAC.COM! Way to go! Oh, and there is that other thing...the two Panther cheerleaders who got caught having sex in a restaurant bathroom. Go Panthers!
