The Reunion Builds

Fueling rumors about a new Armored Saint studio album (rumors about a reunion have already come to pass with the previous announcements of several European Festival dates), the band will perform a headlining show in San Francisco June 16. The Hated and Savage Machine wil provide support.

Here's a list of upcoming Armored Saint concerts:

  • Jun. 16 - San Francisco, CA - The Pound
  • Jun. 23 - Arnhem, NETH – Willemeen
  • Jun. 24 - Balingen, GER – Bang Your Head Festival
  • Jun. 25 - Dessel, BEL – Graspop Festival
  • Jun. 27 - Manchester, UK – Academy 3
  • Jun. 28 - Belfast, N. Ireland – Spring and Airbake
  • Jun. 29 - Glasgow, SCO – Cathouse
  • Jul. 01 - London, UK – Underworld
  • Jul. 14-16 - Toscolano Maderno, ITA - Evolution Festival
Armored Saint last played more than six months ago when they opened for the Scorpions in Phoenix, July 30, 2005. At the time, theband was adamant about that performance being a one-time-only event.

    From a July 2005 update at www.armoredsaint.com:

"After much consideration we decided to do it. Mind you, this is only one show and we’re really just doing it for the fun of it. We have been getting lots of emails asking if there is more to this. We have no plans to do any other shows or get together for any writing or recording. For right now we are playing one show only opening for the Scorpions..."

No official word has been given on plans for a studio album. The last Armored Saint CD, Revelation came out on Metal Blade Records in 2000.

I think I remember that, but was too stoned to do anything but gel and hope my heart did not explode.

I dressed up as a lesbian there, only to be on the receiving end of a huge cock colonoscophy.

I saw these fags back in 1983 at Robbies (a lesbian joint) in downtown Pomona. They threw picks out at the "audience" (3 drunk bored bull dykes and a buddy of mine and I who were catatonic stoned).

Armored Saint never received the acclaim they deserved except in southern California. The rest of the country really missed out on a great band. Dave Prichard RIP
