Time to replace Tarja

Nightwish have posted the following message at their official website www.nightwish.com:

"Hello there! The hassle with the media seems to have died. We've been off tour for some months and weŽve had a nice and long vacation. Its time to get back in business: Nightwish is currently and actively looking for a new singer/front woman for the band. We need the obvious things: looks, charisma, courage and, of course, a big voice. Good grasp of the English language is also very helpful. We don't necessarily need a classically trained vocalist like Tarja Turunen (the former vocalist). We welcome all kinds of styles and voices, natural and trained, from rock and pop to classical, and all that you can find in between. You should however be prepared to sing with a lot of dynamics and versatility. From loud and high to very sensitive stuff. You should preferably send us a CD containing two-three songs, that you consider to be your best work. If you send an album, would you mark out two-three most important songs, please? If you record and send Nightwish songs, then the most important thing is your PERSONAL TOUCH. Photographs are needed as well. We will look into different applications and all candidates, but doing it this way would save us some time and energy. If you think you have it, just send your stuff to our management, and weŽll be happy to take you onboard.

Here's the address. Good luck!

King Foo Entertainment Ltd - Oy/Ewo
Fredrikinkatu 61 A 7.krs/floor

I really like this band. Powerful, melodic, majestic. They'll have a hard time finding a suitable replacement. Tarja had that "special something" hotter that hell but with the voice of an angel...AND she could suck a golf ball through a garden hose.

Who in the fuck is going to move to Finland for this train wreck with speakers.

Mummyman - 3/22/2006 12:54:00 PM
This band was not technical- lets not kid ourselves. No disrespect, but no one would miss them if they called it a day.

KittieFan - 3/21/2006 11:05:31 AM
NIGHTWISH \m/ I too am disapionted to read that looks was first on the list. Tarja will be tough to replace. Music as technical as what they do though requires a classically trained vocalist.

metlgod - 3/20/2006 6:00:25 PM
Nightwish? Never heard of them.

Bitches_N_Hoes - 3/20/2006 5:40:48 PM
what about TOTEMS send them a CD of his singing, i know they need a female but we can put some lipstick on him, put him in his best prositute dress, you know the one his dad used to pimp him out in, and sent it to the band, maybe they wont notice. what do ya say TOTEMS? will ya do it?

blackleather - 3/20/2006 4:17:34 PM
