Finnish Hard Rock act LORDI achieved notoriety after winning the Eurovision Song Contest with their 2006 single “Hard Rock Hallelujah”. Since then, the larger-than-life monsters of LORDI have been rocking stages around the world, and cranking out a new album every one to two years.
In 2022 LORDI released their most ambitious project, entitled Lordiversity. Each of the seven albums in this box set had its own unique sound that corresponded to a year in music that influenced frontman MR. LORDI.
On March 31, 2023 LORDI released their 18th studio album Screem Writers Guild. This album was my introduction into the twisted world of LORDI. The album impressed me with its mix of 80s tinged Hard Rock meets a dark Broadway musical. I had the chance to speak with MR. LORDI himself to find out more about it.
