From Launch Radio Networks:
Although news broke online late Tuesday (May 9th) that Alice in Chains would be making a "massive" announcement on it's website this Monday (May 15th), a representative for the band's management told us yesterday (Wednesday, May 10th) to disregard that notice, chalking it up to an "overenthusiastic" fan club moderator. The item about the big revelation has since disappeared from the site.
Alice In Chains recently confirmed the five dates and cities for its U.S. mini-tour, beginning on May 18th in Los Angeles and ending on the 23rd in New York City. The shows will all take place in either small clubs or theatres.
EGX500 - 5/18/2006 7:43:34 AM Facelift was an amazing CD when it was released..
scrapmetal - 5/18/2006 5:58:21 AM VN chin, you got that right.Cantrell should just tour & perform stuff from his double album on Roadrunner & do AIC,too. Its all marketing & name recognition, folks.Dont htink for one minute they dont know that they are misleading over 50% of the young kids who will show up & go "Duh,wheres the vocalist I saw in the Unplugged video?".
CrgkicsnLV - 5/18/2006 12:23:37 AM a.i.c. is one of my fav's from the 90's but i get pissed of every time i here them. damn the drugs! and screw phil at the heart/ aic tribute concert and the new behind the music show. he ruined pantera ...and had dimebag offed.
Blobber - 5/17/2006 6:48:09 PM Scott was Jesus!
DisPowerSlave - 5/17/2006 10:33:26 AM Creed was only played as punishment back when the Rack was working as a DJ so that the horny 16-year old boys in chat would stop PMing her to flash the cam. Nowadays Diana DeVille does the same thing with the Darkness. No one needs Creed to reform.
vinceneilschin - 5/17/2006 6:58:46 AM One question, Why are they touring under the name Alice In Chains? I know Jerry Cantrell can sing, but it sort of seems a bit wrong. Just me, but they should alter the name slightly, like The Grateful Dead with calling themselves The Dead and The Cars calling themselves the New Cars. Differentiate out of respect folks!
scrapmetal - 5/16/2006 10:13:34 PM AIC also opened for Van hagar on the tour with Pundcake-beginning of the end. What a band in the studio, like STP the smack buried them before they got started.Use blow & weed,no oxy or smack.
Blobber - 5/16/2006 4:40:52 PM I wish Creed would reunite!
VicRattlehead502 - 5/16/2006 9:23:00 AM "Facelift" is a metal album. In it's pure state, before the music industry began to clammer for a new pigeon-hole to place it in. I would kill to have seen that tour. My time machine is almost complete.
TheCelt - 5/16/2006 4:44:04 AM Testament did play on the clash of the titans tour, but it was the european leg instead of AIC.
Blobber - 5/15/2006 7:08:32 PM Ok, Joneserfagon...I'll meet you in your momma's cavernous twat next Sunday at midnight. I know it'll be busy, and I'll have to wait in line...but I'm a patient man. By the way, your AIC shit was feeble and flacid, like your 2-inch cock. Ass fuck your momma!
ddmetlhed - 5/15/2006 1:46:16 PM i stand corrected...it was megadeth on the r.i.p.tour. but i do remember testament touring with slayer.
Head_Injury - 5/15/2006 10:33:04 AM Dumbass! that was Megadeth! Still have the t-shirt... in pieces now. Anthrax Slayer and Megadeth with AIC opening and doing one off shows while on the tour.
ddmetlhed - 5/15/2006 7:57:42 AM testament was the other band on clash of the titans. i remember back then nobody knew who alice in chains was yet, man in the box hadn't broken.the grunge scene wasn't in full force then,so alice could fit on this package without being categorized.great show, slayer stole it imo...
