Canadian Hard Rock & Metal act STRIKER are hitting the ground running, in anticipation of their 7th studio album ULTRAPOWER. STRIKER broke free from record labels in 2016 and took on a do-it-yourself approach for their last three studio albums Play To Win (2018), Striker (2017), and Stand In The Fire (2016).

This time around STRIKER are forgoing their normal pre-order fulfillment, in favor of a Kickstarter campaign for ULTRAPOWER. Within the first 5 days, STRIKER had already exceeded their funding goal. With just under two weeks left, fans have a chance to help them reach their "stretch goals" of bonus music and a Synthwave remix of the album.

I had the chance to catch up with vocalist Dan Cleary to find out more about ULTRAPOWER. Cleary also discusses the unique rewards available through their Kickstarter campaign, renting an Airbnb for 5 weeks to work and record with producer Josh Schroeder, why they prefer to not work with a record label, when to expect more new music, their touring plans in support of the album, why there was a larger gap than normal between this release and their last, and much, much, more.
