As previously reported, a couple of clever Slayer fans built a website, NationalDayOfSlayer.org encouraging Slayer fans to stay home from work, crank Slayer tunes all day, as well as a few other choice suggestions to help revelers get into the frame of mind for the event.
KNAC.COM has decided to help facilitate your celebration by playing nothing but Slayer music for the entire day, Tuesday, June 6, 2006 (06/06/06)
If you are new to KNAC.COM, there's a "Listen" button at the top/center of every page on this website. Click on it, select a stream, and enjoy your National Day of Slayer.

fizzgig - 6/7/2006 10:00:06 AM DTX, I think I read something about a special EP, sold only at Hot Topic, that contained a special live version of "Dead Skin Mask." Don't know if that's still in the works or what.
dtx - 6/7/2006 7:24:57 AM The leads on Cult sound alot like the last lead on Haunting the Chapel.
dtx - 6/7/2006 7:24:10 AM fizz, I haven't actually seen the EP, just from what I've seen on the net, it appears that it only contains Cult, and a few media tracks, like War Ensemble and making of. And Wicked is a throwaway from either the Diabolus sessions or God Hates sessions.

fizzgig - 6/6/2006 11:37:53 PM Goddammit, I figured I might not be around to celebrate the next 6/6/06, so I might as well crank some Slayer and crack a few cans tonight. ANd listening to this marathon confirms what I already knew: After Seasons, slayer pretty much just rehash the same old shit. Not bad, but just a little boring after a while. And I think the "Cult" EP is supposed to have a few live tracks on it. Isn't "Wicked" a new song? Neither it nor "Cult' really did much for me.
GOPmetalgod72 - 6/6/2006 10:36:02 PM Cult by slayer is great. However I heard Jihad and It's not that great. The drums are amazing of course but the song kinda goes nowhere. It is definitely not worth all the hype. I hope cult is more like the tone for the rest of the cd
dtx_666 - 6/6/2006 6:36:35 PM Slayer really should have spruced up the EP though. I understand it's only got 1 song - Cult. They could have included a few of the rare songs from box set. Maybe a few live recordings. I'll wait for the whole disc. I downloaded the song already. The 160 bitrate sounds waaaay better than what's streaming on their actual site.
dtx_666 - 6/6/2006 6:33:00 PM Hell fuckin' yeah - Slayer day on KNAC!!
