ESCAPE THE HIVE fuses the laid back sounds of the '70s with the pomp and circumstance of the '80 on their debut release This Is Gonna Sting. Though new as a band, frontman Michael Thomas Beck is no stranger to the scene, having cut his teeth with former members of BADLANDS on the KINGS OF DUST self-titled debut in 2020, to belting out OZZY and BADLANDS classics with guitar extraordinaire Jake E. Lee.

This Is Gonna Sting was released on September 15, 2023 through Shock Records/Vanity Music Group. I had the chance to catch up with Michael Thomas Beck a few days after its release to discuss the new album, as well as the stories behind the singles, how the band was formed, signing with Vanity Music Group, their summer tour, meeting Frank Dimino of ANGEL, why he is no fan of Spotify, his stint with RED DRAGON CARTEL, and much, much more.
