From ITV.com:
Aerosmith's Steven Tyler has been battling hepatitis C for three years and wants to raise awareness of the disease.
He explained the infection is "non-existent" in his bloodstream after a year of interferon treatment.
The rocker said: "I've had hepatitis C for a long time, asymptomatic.
"Hepatitis C is the one that, of all the people in this room, at least three have it and don't know it. It's the silent killer. I may go on Oprah and talk about this."
Hepatitis C is a serious viral infection of the blood that can lead to chronic liver disease.

scrapmetal - 10/1/2006 2:46:29 PM This shit will killyou fast without treatment, which you know Steve has the best of.As does Tommy Lee & Pamela ANdersen,2 other positives due to needle use.
chamberdude - 10/1/2006 8:57:49 AM My question is will he jump up and down on Oprah's couch like Tom Cruse??
CallsemasI - 9/30/2006 8:31:51 PM Hi Mummy, got a good laugh at your BD rigs under Oprahs seats joke, as I work at BD. I copied the office on your rant, you were a big hit! (Hit...I think theres another joke in there somewhere??) Peace bro!
analgravy2 - 9/30/2006 11:29:04 AM To which I'll reply with "No one fucking cares". Hopefully he joins the Harlem Globegobblers and gets sucked off by Magic and catches AIDS. Then he'll have something to talk about. And then he'll DIE! :)
Mummyman - 9/30/2006 7:13:41 AM I get the gist of what your saying and i'm not really trying to slam Steven Tyler per se.....But HepC is such a non issue as far as diseases are concerned and while there have been some uneducated statements made on this board regarding HepC there really isn't a whole lot of mystery here. Anything anyone wanted to know could be found on cdc.gov in about 5 minutes. Hey it's a free country...if he wants to talk about it publicly i'm sure someone will give him the TV time, but if he does this it's ego driven...guys that have been around this long that are in the golden years of their career will always try to find ways to talk about themselves to make sure someone still cares
goin-blind - 9/30/2006 4:09:36 AM well, you have to get the publicity to get the recognition of the disease...right?
Mummyman - 9/29/2006 5:04:22 PM Exactly my point Dancy.
dancypants - 9/29/2006 3:33:51 PM but it is somewhat disingenuous when the guy talks about it for publicity's sake.
mo_jo - 9/28/2006 7:31:28 PM well, wife-swapping with Tommy Lee is still a go-go! :D
rnark73n - 9/28/2006 6:20:11 AM tyler shoulda thought twice before diddling mummy's boy...now he's left with a lifelong companion-hep c
