Press release:

Rock legend, entrepreneur, tequila aficionado, owner of the Cabo Wabo Cantinas - and now soon to be Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall Of Fame inductee - Sammy Hagar invites fans to join him once again for the 2nd Annual “Are We Having Any Fun Yet” Cruise that will make stops in Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan, Mexico and eventually come ashore in Cabo San Lucas to meet him for rockin’ live performances and infamous Cabo Wabo partying.

“I promise it will be even more fun than the first one,” promises Hagar.

In what is sure to be another unforgettable experience, the cruise will offer fans the opportunity to vacation and party Cabo Wabo style. Not only will Sammy’s passengers be treated to private live performances by THE WABOS with special guests Aaron Hagar and Michael Anthony while onboard but will also have the rare opportunity to see Sammy Hagar and The Wabos perform at Sammy’s world famous Cabo Wabo Cantina® in Cabo San Lucas. Included in the exclusive package are a cocktail party, karaoke night, as well as special Cabo Wabo menu items onboard. There will also be an opportunity to participate in an auction of unique Sammy Hagar mementos that are not otherwise available to the public. The auction, which will benefit the child advocacy organization Friends of Children in Northampton, Massachusetts, will include a Birthday Bash package with hotel and dinner accommodations in Cabo San Lucas for one lucky winner and a guest.

The cruise, scheduled for March 11th thru 18th on The Carnival Pride, departs from Long Beach, California and commences with a welcome cocktail party. During the cruise, Sammy’s passengers will enjoy a private concert with Aaron Hagar & The Wabos as well as a separate performance from Michael Anthony and The Wabos. On March 14th, the ship stops in Puerto Vallarta and the following day in Mazatlan where there will be a picnic that fans can participate in. The cruise will also include a “Meet The Wabos” question and answer session as well as what is sure to be an eventful “Wabolympics” with Michael Anthony and The Wabos. When the ship docks in Cabo San Lucas on Friday, March 16th, Sammy’s passengers will be greeted by the one and only “Sambassador” - Sammy himself, and guided to the Cabo Wabo Cantina where the party of a lifetime will begin with none other than a welcome shot of Cabo Wabo Tequila. Sammy and the Wabos will storm the stage! With the Cabo Wabo® premium tequila flowing and the music going, all Sammy’s friends are sure to enjoy a Cabo Wabo vacation and a concert experience they will never forget.

Scrap- we had about 50 people go, a few friends organized it with a travel agent back in June which is probabaly how we got the $950 per couple cost that included the all you can drink/eat card. By getting enough people to go, you can get a drink card included. Lot's of people on board were asking where we got the cards and I would have been pissed too if I could not drink as much as I do, for free. Breakfast was shitty, lunch and dinner were good. Ensenada was fuckin ridiculous. I was not aware that there was a pharmacy next to each bar and you can legally buy anything there without a prescription. Let's just say I was nicely medicated between Tequila shot's, beer and Valume. Ha !

T5150,I didnt know about this open bar card-I had to smuggle a bottle of Cruzan rum on when a lady fell off her wheelchair when they busted her with illegal bottles & threw a drunken tantrum (true story it was classic-especially the way I highstepped over her like OJ in a hertz commercial & hightailed it for my room with my smuggled booze).THe cabin help sucks & so does this liner-bottom rung of the industry.

Oh a dream come true. Is this free? Can I, a simple peasant, board the ship too as you people can? Oh, how I wish magor would allow us to go on this free cruise with that man Hagger. By the way, who is this name Hagger for which you people speak? Regardless, him is kind to allow you of us on a ship for free; perhaps I'll bring some mellons as an act of kindness for him kind gesture. Oh, I must talk magor into letting us go, rught after I get back from the mangowar party, for which i spoke of on the mangowar thread. I see not why I won't be included, seeing show they need girls for parties. I 'm sneaking out tonight to attend. much kisses.

It did not hurt winning $500 (take home) playing craps either.

tarzan5150 - 1/23/2007 11:42:23 AM
I just got back from a carnival cruise, I have to disagree scrap, but I did pay for an all inclusive drink card (never opened my wallet on board) and upgraded my cabin to the top floor. We partied like it was 1999 and there were about 40 of us total which made it alot of fun. Plus we had the playoffs and went into town in Ensenada for the day. PapasnBeer, etc. Mas Tequila !

shitfaced! lol! if it's good enough Tommy Chong, it's good enough for me...

phry - 1/23/2007 7:08:11 AM
Sammy is a joke, how about putting your old band together again and doing something besides getting fatter.

Blobber - 1/22/2007 11:10:12 AM
Don't know...but he was shit-faced, almost-ready-for-the-ER drunk. My guess is that he likely thought it was hashish. He did manage to somehow light the moist turd and take a few hits. I heard him mumnle something about it "smells like shit" before he stumbled down a dark Alley in Cabo.

Leather_Lung - 1/22/2007 10:27:24 AM
wtf?! did he think it was hash or something?

Blobber - 1/22/2007 8:18:21 AM
I saw Sammy smoking a dog turd after a night of drinking and drugging in Mexico. The pathetic motherfucker clogged the bong with the wet turd...

goin-blind - 1/22/2007 5:29:30 AM
i was in the navy for 4 years, served on an aircraft carrier ( u.s.s nimitz 1984-88) i've seen more gallons of water than most folks in my lifetime..i'll pass on the cruise.

scrapmetal - 1/21/2007 12:46:57 PM
IF Sammy was on the cruise,Id consider it.But why would you pay to watch his son & Mike ANthony jam on cover tunes?PLus,Carnival Cruise suck big time.Ive been burned twice with their discount price, shit service & BORING ships (not to mention the rip off shore excursions). They are rated consistently down the bottom of all cruise lines & have more on ship illnesses (read:stomache viruses which mans shit * & puke non stop)than any other company.Last time every toilet backed up on my floor & were literally overflowing in the cabins & hallways.NEVER AGAIN>

CygnusYYZ - 1/21/2007 7:42:43 AM
Sammy is kind of a Gene Simmons Lite.
