New York City Benefit Concert

- advertiseclment -
The original lineup of Extreme will reunite for a benefit concert and auction in New York City in honor of music manager Steven Hoffman who worked for the legendary Leber Krebs organization (AC/DC, Scorpions, Aerosmith). His first big professional success was his discovery of Extreme; Steve was a key player in their runaway ride to the top of the rock charts with 'More Than Words' and their achievement of household-name status. Steve passed away at the age of 38 on October 26, 2003 at Toronto's Princess Margaret Hospital.

The event will take place on May 18th at the Canal Room (285 West Broadway) from 7:00 to 10:30 p.m. Other bands scheduled to play at the event include Valentine, Evolution, The Illegitimate Sons Of the blues Brothers and a star-studded lineup of musicians to be announced. A live and silent auction will also be held to raise funds for lung cancer research. To purchase tickets or for more information about this event head to www.stevenhoffmanfund.org.

Come on people. Extreme was one of the most underrated bands of the 80's. The band made a great choice to do "More Than Words", but the "rockers" of the world were not ready to see them go acoustic. I have 2 of their albums and would LOVE to see them live. Side note-Blogger you need to go fuck yourself and not be in a site for pure music fans.

Disagree-SUlly Erna is actually pretty charismatic on stage -Ive seen them twice.Went in dismissing him as a Layne Staley derivative and left impressed-especially at his drumming .
