Dimebag Darrell Abbott To Be Posthumously Inducted Into Hollywood Rockwalk

Dimebag Darrell Abbott, will be posthumously inducted into Hollywood's Rockwalk, the only sidewalk gallery dedicated to honoring those artists who have made a significant impact and lasting contribution to the growth and evolution of Rock ‘n’ Roll. A bronze bust of Abbott will be unveiled during the ceremony and later installed along the RockWalk posthumous inductee wall, which also includes Robert Johnson, Elvis Presley and Bill Graham among others. Abbott will be located directly adjacent to other equally accomplished musicians and innovators on the RockWalk such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Johnny Cash, Van Halen, Bonnie Raitt, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, The Ramones, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Brian Wilson, Stevie Wonder, John Lee Hooker and Earth Wind & Fire.
The event this Thursday, May 17th at noon, at Guitar Center at 7425 Sunset boulevard, in Hollywood, California, is open to the public and free of charge.
Among the metal notables who grace the Rock Walk include: AC/DC, Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, Def Leppard, Ronnie James Dio, Iron Maiden, Kiss, Motley Crue, Motorhead, Ted Nugent, Randy Rhoads and Zakk Wylde.

Hey dannymylde...you know nothing about guitar i assume, because if you think dime was overrated you are dead fucking wrong man, dime was *the* best metal guitar player ever in my opinion , he was unique in his style, he could rip some of the best solos ever written, he made metal into more than just fast solos and three power chords, he played real rythms, pounding,technical and precise. So, that said, dont ever say dimebag darrell was over rated cuz thats just fucking foolish. And just so you know, im not just one of those guys who rants on every board about dimebag being the king, and i dont sit around and dream of being like him, im just saying dont call him over rated. Because you are wrong on that one, period.
