We're jumping the gun a little here, but we know for a fact that Judas Priest will be touring this summer, and the new album, Nostradamus will be release in June. We know becasue the Metal God himself, Rob Halford told us. Though no official announcement from the tour promoter has been made, the line-up of the tour is hard to deny with information that has been publically available. Halford also said, the tour will likely come in two parts; one featuring songs spanning Judas Priest's 40 year career, and another in which Nostradamus will be played in it's entirety.

As part of the Post-Gazette Pavilion Summer Season, Beaver County Times & Allegheny Times Online report that tickets for the August 16th date at the Post-Gazette Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania featuring Judas Priest, Motorhead and Heaven And Hell will go on sale at 10 AM on April 25th. Tickets will be priced from $20 to $100.

Headbanger's Blog recently reported Testment frontman Chuck Billy announced onstage on April 6th that his band will be opening for the upcoming Judas Priest, Motörhead and Heaven And Hell tour this August.

“We’ll be on first, and we’re only gonna have 30 minutes, so we won’t be doing any talking,” Billy said towards the end of the band’s set at B.B. King Blues Club and Grill in Midtown, New York. “We’re just gonna hit you hard - bam, bam, bam, bam - with everything we’ve got.”

On April 2nd, Pollstar prematurely posted (then removed) the first eight stops for the tour, which is reportedly slated to begin August 2nd in Dallas, TX (additional dates below).

  • 8/2 - Smirnoff Music Center - Dallas, TX
  • 8/7 - Bristow, VA - Nissan Pavilion At Stone Ridge
  • 8/9 - Holmdel, NJ - PNC Bank Arts Center
  • 8/10 - Wantagh, NY - Nikon At Jones Beach Theater
  • 8/13 - Toronto, ON - The Molson Amphitheatre
  • 8/15 - Uncasville, CT - Mohegan Sun
  • 8/16 - Burgettstown, PA - Post-Gazette Pavilion
  • 8/18 - Clarkston, MI - DTE Energy Music Theatre
  • 8/19 - Tinley Park, IL - First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre
The moment we have more information, you'll see it on KNAC.COM.

Very looking forward to the new Testament LP. I hope it shreds. Nice to see the boys having a renaissance, after a decade in the wilderness. Shame Metallica couldn't stay as focussed.

Hey, listen: one can hate me for my beliefs--visa versa--but NO ONE can take that upon themselves to "rectify' the situation..you know?

Well maybe you should get off your ass and go back to the fields. I'm not paying extra for my beer because your kind takes forever to harvest hops.
