SLAYER In Writing-Mode; Jeff Hanneman Still Recovering From Illness By Tokemaster General, Contributor Wednesday, November 23, 2011 @ 11:25 AM
According to a recent Facebook update from SLAYER drummer Dave Lombardo, the band are currently writing the follow-up to World Painted Blood. Lombardo added that guitarist Jeff Hanneman is still recovering and doing better. Hanneman stepped onstage with Slayer at the Big 4 concert in Indio, CA this past April, marking the first time he played with Slayer October of 2010. In January, Hanneman contracted necrotizing fasciitis, likely caused by a spider bite, and has been undergoing surgeries, skin grafts and intense rehab since.
In other Slayer news, on the weekend of May 25th - 27th, 2012 at Alexandra Palace, London, All Tomorrow's Parties will present the second UK I'll Be Your Mirror event.
