This week, Black Sabbath fan and guitar blogger, Tony Conley started a Facebook page entitled, "1,000,000 Black Sabbath fans say yes to Bill Ward." (See it here) On the first day, the page gathered 25,000 members.
"I started the page thinking that 1,000 'likes' would be a cool show of support for Bill. 25,000 later, I realize that Bill Ward and Sabbath have the most loyal and loving fans in the world!"
Conley says it will be very interesting to see what, if any, impact the fans can have. He wants the page to be clean, and supportive - "not encouraging any hating, or rudeness."
"We've done pretty well. We have gotten notes of encouragement from ex-Sabbath members, including Craig Gruber, and from Bill's son Aron," Conley adds. He says, "I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!"
