DEATH VALLEY HIGH Release NSFW "Warm Bodies" Mini Horror Flick By Larry Petro, News Monkey Friday, September 23, 2016 @ 4:26 PM
DEATH VALLEY HIGH's pop-sensibility and macabre energy are what set them apart from the pack, and their single "Warm Bodies" hits upon both facets. As vocalist/guitarist Reyka Osburn told Alternative Press at the time of the track's original premiere, "It could be said that "Warm Bodies" expresses a 'people need people' sentiment, but that's only at its core. The song does start with this universal hunt for vitality, but it in the end, it lures itself into a deep, carnal feeding frenzy for life."
What better way to portray the need for warm bodies than by way of a horror film! That was the stance DEATH VALLEY HIGH took when creating the new highly-NSFW music video for "Warm Bodies", which presents itself as a mini horror flick sprinkled with casual drug use, sexual vigor and plenty of undead attacks met with equal human fury. Take a peek, if you dare, on KNAC.COM right HERE.
The "Warm Bodies" video was directed by Brain Cox at Flarelight Films.
Osburn comments, "We wanted the video for "Warm Bodies" to have some unexpected turns so that the viewer would have their expectations abruptly altered while watching. We sought to make sure some of the video was filmed in black and white so that the mind-altering state of our lead characters would translate to the viewer once it changed to color - like watching a campy old horror film that turns into an 80's action film. We intentionally chose to not include band performance footage or images so we could really get the story concept across, although, if you keep a keen eye during the mini movie, you might catch a glimpse of our scary faces."
Pre-orders for Cvlt [As Fvk] are now available via Amazon and iTunes, the latter of which includes both "Warm Bodies" & "Groei Donker (Grow Dark)" as instant grat tracks with your pre-order. You can also stream "Warm Bodies" now via Spotify.
