As Atreyu nears the completion of "Deathgrip on Yesterday", their third album on Victory Records, they will take a short break to film a video for 'Her Portrait In Black', their exclusive track on the Underworld: Evolution soundtrack. Atreyu join artists like My Chemical Romance, Slipknot, and Hawthorne Heights for this sequel to the hit movie Underworld, which stars Kate Beckinsale and is directed by Len Wiseman. The video will be directed by Rob Schroeder (The Postal Service, Breaking Benjamin), who teams up with cinematographer Lukas Ettlin (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, Queens of the Stoneage – 'Little Sister', Marilyn Manson – 'Personal Jesus'). Performance footage of Atreyu rocking will be intercut with footage from the movie; the resulting video will match the look of the movie and feature shots from all aspects of the film.
Meanwhile, work continues on "Deathgrip On Yesterday", produced by Josh Abraham (Velvet Revolver, Courtney Love). Expect it in stores March 28th and the band to take part in the Taste of Chaos Tour from February 15th through April 15th in North America. While the finishing touches are still in the works, the band has released a track listing, in no particular order: 'The Theft', 'Ex's and Oh's', 'Our Sick Story (Thus Far)', 'Your Private War', 'Shameful', 'Creature', 'My Fork In The Road (Your Knife In My Back)', 'Untitled Finale' and 'We Stand Up'.
