We caught up with guitarist JOEL HOEKSTRA [WHITESNAKE, TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA] as he was about to head to Europe with WHITESNAKE for dates on their ‘farewell’ tour. But before he left, we had a chance to speak with him about his new and upcoming project ICONIC. It’s a ‘supergroup’ of sorts which features Hoekstra on guitar, MICHAEL SWEET of STRYPER on guitar, MARCO MENDOZA of BLACK STAR RIDERS, THE DEAD DAISIES, and WHITESNAKE on bass, TOMMY ALDRIDGE of WHITESNAKE and OZZY OSBOURNE on drums and NATHAN JAMES of INGLORIOUS on vocals. ICONIC released their debut album Second Skin on June 17th, 2022 on Frontiers Srl. The band have released a video for the track “Nowhere To Run” and the response to it has been amazingly good.
