Since the release of their latest work Mirage, Portuguese black metal up and coming GAEREA have confirmed there is more than just hype to their success, establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with in today's crowded landscape of Black Metal.
Having witnessed their assault on their last summer festival appearances, I was eager to chat with Guilherme about the band's approach in regard to songwriting on Mirage, their experiences during last summer’s big festivals, their feelings coming back from their first South-American tour and the metal scene in the nations south of the equator. We also tackle their first ever North-American tour which will kick-off next month for 4 weeks of coast to coast US and Canada carnage.
