Songwriter, instrumentalist, producer, and vocalist Alessandro Del Vecchio has one of the most prolific resumes in the field. Though not a partner on the business end, Del Vecchio is considered one of the go-to musicians when Frontiers Music takes on a new band or project. To list his credentials would take pages upon pages.

Perhaps the project that is closest and most important to Alessandro Del Vecchio is EDGE OF FOREVER, because this one is all his. Del Vecchio has nurtured this project since its inception in 2010, releasing 5 studio albums and a live album along the way. EDGE OF FOREVER had its share of band members, but finally solidified its ranks with its 2019 release Native Soul.

Ritual is the sixth studio album by EDGE OF FOREVER. It was released on October 13, 2023, and it may possibly be their finest hour. Ritual tells the story of the last two indigenous people speaking a language soon to be forgotten. I'll let Del Vecchio let you in on the rest of it. There's no doubt that Ritual will be on this contributors 'best of 2023' list.

I had the chance to catch up with Alessandro Del Vecchio shortly after the album's release. Ale discusses the theme of Ritual and some of the world events that inspired it, he also goes deep into his personal beliefs and how we can and should become a better society. Del Vecchio also reveals how the ballad "Love Is The Only Answer" was inspired by the birth of his son, and how that same event changed him as a person.

Ale talks about EDGE OF FOREVER's upcoming live appearances, his upcoming SOLEDRIVER project with Michael Sweet (STRYPER), whether we can expect new album's from JORN, SUNSTORM, and JEFF SCOTT SOTO, pulling back a bit on his workload, and much, much more.
