If you weren't at the House of Blues in Houston on June 7th, you seriously missed out on one of the best rock shows of the year. TESLA's "Keepin' It Real" Tour was everything a rock fan could hope for, with KURT DEIMER setting the stage perfectly as the opener.

KURT DEIMER is making waves in the rock scene with his gritty vocals and modern twist on classic rock. Known for his compelling stage presence, DEIMER's music resonates with themes of resilience and transformation, setting the stage for a memorable concert experience.

As KURT DEIMER kicked off the night, he nailed it with tracks like "Doom" and "Dance", but his cover of PINK FLOYD's "Have a Cigar" was the real standout. The crowd went crazy, singing along, completely feeling the vibe. By the time he wrapped up with "Fight", everyone was buzzing, ready for TESLA to take the stage.

Setlist:

  • "Doom"
  • "Dance"
  • "Look"
  • "Have a Cigar" (PINK FLOYD cover)
  • "Hero"
  • "Whatcha Sayin'"
  • "Big Toe"
  • "Live or Die"
  • "Naive"
  • "Fight"
A staple of American rock since the 1980s, TESLA is celebrated for their raw, blues-infused hard rock. Their energetic performances electrify fans old and new. Hailing from Sacramento, California, they captivate audiences with their dynamic stage presence and undeniable chemistry.

Comprised of BRIAN WHEAT on bass, FRANK HANNON and DAVE RUDE on guitars, JEFF KEITH on lead vocals, and STEVE BROWN on drums, TESLA delivers a powerful and cohesive stage performance.

TESLA's entrance was nothing short of epic. They came out swinging with "Cumin' Atcha Live", and the energy never dipped. From there, it was a non-stop journey through their greatest hits. "Modern Day Cowboy" and "Heaven's Trail (No Way Out)" were massive crowd-pleasers, with everyone singing along and rocking out.

The interplay between the two guitarists FRANK HANNON and DAVE RUDE creates a rich, layered sound that perfectly complements the rhythmic foundation laid by BRIAN WHEAT's bass lines. JEFF KEITH's gritty yet soulful vocals soar above the instrumentation, bringing an emotional depth to each song. During their performance of "Gettin' Better", the intimate moments shared between JEFF KEITH and FRANK HANNON were particularly captivating, highlighting their long-standing musical bond and deep connection on stage. These moments of connection, combined with the band's overall bond of musicianship, made for an unforgettable concert experience.

One of the most magical moments was their acoustic rendition of "Paradise". It brought this beautiful feel to the night and showcased just how talented these guys are. "Love Song"? Total perfection. The entire venue filled with lighters (or, more realistically, phone flashlights), and you could feel the love in the air.

Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, they hit us with "Little Suzi". The crowd was going crazy, dancing and singing along. And then, as if the night couldn't get any more epic, they came back for an encore with "Signs". It was the perfect way to end an incredible night.

TESLA showed they've still got it, delivering a performance that was both nostalgic and full of fresh energy. Their connection with the audience was amazing, making it a night none of us will forget anytime soon. If you get the chance to see them live, don't even think twice. Go. You won't regret it.
