Lars Ulrich (Metallica) and Connie Nielsen became the proud parents of a boy, Bryce Thadeus Ulrich-Nielsen on Monday, May 21st in San Francisco. According to the announcement, "Mother's doing well, Dad's in awe, and brothers Layne, Myles, and Sebastian are psyched!"
Sweden's Dark Tranquillity have issued the following update: "Apparently, a minor amount of the limited edition Fiction copies contain a manufacturing error making it impossible to access the screen saver content. The videos play just fine, so it's not the end of the world, but those with a faulty copy can download the material here."
After owning his black Ferrari for nearly 18 years, guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen recently put the car up for auction on eBay. The winning bid on the car was $25,100 U.S. The history of the automobile is as follows: in 1989 Yngwie was in the process of recording the Eclipse album when he saw this Ferrari in the showroom of Prestige Imports in North Miami Beach, Florida. With only 23,000 miles on the clock Yngwie had to have it, so he walked in, paid cash and drove it out. The vehicle has been garage kept and has received service and maintenance through world recognized Ferrari ace Tim Stanford FNA certified and of Tim Stanford Foreign Cars inc.of Fort Lauderdale Florida, servicing Ferrari's since 1967.
Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx issued the following statement about ther recording of his Heroin Diaries Soundtrack:

Iced Earth mainman Jon Schaffer has posted the following update at the official Iced Earth website: "Our new guitar player's name is Troy Seele. Troy did a few solos on the new record and will be touring with us. He's been a friend of mine for about ten years and is from the Indianapolis (Indy) area. He's by far the best guitar player in Indy and will be bringing some cool vibes to the table."

Night Ranger guitarist Brad Gillis is one month into recording his newest solo CD and hoping for a fall release date.
