Soilwork Added to Throwdown's "Scum of the Earth Tour" By Newsferatu, Writer Wednesday, December 12, 2007 @ 9:51 PM
Throwdown headlines the “Scum Of The Earth Tour” which is set to kick off in February and will cross the United States (and some Canadian cities as well) through early April. It is the band's first headlining tour in support of their new album, Venom & Tears, which was released in August.
Joining Throwdown on the bill for the “Scum Of The Earth Tour,” which is presented by Black Rose District Clothing, will be Swedish metal madmen Soilwork as direct support, whose own Sworn to a Great Divide was recently released to rave reviews from fans and critics. We recently caught up with lead singer Björn “Speed” Strid for comment during Soilwork's current US tour:
“We are happy to announce that we will be back in the states in February/March together with Throwdown, Through The Eyes Of The Dead, and War Of Ages. We are currently on a crazy US arena tour with the boys in Killswitch Engage, Lamb Of God and Devildriver. The tour is going towards the end and we have six more shows to go. The tour has been absolutely amazing and we've had some really good times. We want to thank the bands, the crew and last but not the least, you the crowd for giving us a very memorable experience. For those of you who've heard Soilwork for the first time on this tour, I recommend you to check us out on the Throwdown tour and see what it's like to be hit in the face by a longer set from Soilwork and for all of those who have seen us before, we'll see you in the front row!”
Confirmed dates for the "Scum Of the Earth Tour" are as follows:
